September Newsletter

I hope you all had a wonderful summer and an easy start to the school year last week! This year you can expect to receive a monthly newsletter with updates on any recent actions, info to pass along from MTA/NEA, IEA committee work, important reminders, and a list of upcoming dates for meetings or contractual deadlines. Please take a few minutes to read them over when I send them.

I wish you well as we start another school year together!

June Newsletter

It’s been quite a year. As the school year draws to a close I want to express a heartfelt thank you for your support, encouragement, and patience with me this year as I adjusted to my new role as IEA President.

I hope you all have an absolutely wonderful summer!

May Newsletter

At this point in the year, our work days are a bit more frantic and our schedules are a little less predicable. It can be easy to have the weight of all that outshine the pride in student progress and enjoyment of our time together as a school community that’s mixed in there too. I hope you all find daily pockets joy in the midst of the endless to do lists and calendar notifications.

This month’s newsletter largely focuses on updates to our recent initiatives and actions. The work of the IEA is never done and there’s always room for improvement but these incremental steps in the right direction do create a collective change.

April Newsletter

As spring approaches we naturally find ourselves looking toward next school year. Though attempts are made to avoid unnecessarily upsetting the apple cart, we know this time of year inevitably brings change. In the coming months we’ll celebrate retirements, congratulate shifts made in pursuit of professional growth, and say goodbye to staff moving on to new adventures elsewhere. This season of change can be anxiety provoking for some so please take extra care to be kind and respectful of privacy.
