Grant funding is available to support students in need through the MTA Mass Child program this year. These programs include funding for Standard Grants, Wellness Grants, and Reading Grants. Please see the descriptions below for more information on each of these programs. If you’re interested in submitting a request, please contact our IEA Mass Child Coordinator, Hannah Moran (hannahkkennedy@gmail.com) for approval prior to purchasing items. Requests are approved on a rolling basis and purchases must be pre-approved.
Mass Child Grants for the 2025/2026 year:
- Standard Grants – Up to $1000 in funds available for clothing, shoes, winter gear, backpacks, glasses, hygiene products etc. Items not regularly provided by the schools.
- Wellness Grants– Up to $1000 for items and/or programs that support the emotional, mental and/or physical health of students. This grant can also be used to purchase grocery gift cards for students with food insecurity, athletic equipment, or programs that boost self-esteem of physical wellbeing.
- Reading Grants – Up to $600 for books for enjoyment (not assigned summer reading).
