Mass Child

Grant funding is available to support students in need through the MTA Mass Child program this year.  These programs include funding for Standard Grants, BCBS Wellness Grants, Summer Reading, and Extracurricular Assistance. Please see the description below and read the attached flyer for more information on each of these programs.  If you’re interested in submitting a request, please contact our IEA Mass Child Coordinator, Molly Lacolla (Molly679@msn.com) for approval. Requests are approved on a rolling basis and purchases must be pre-approved. 

 

Mass Child Grants for this year: 

  • Standard Grants – Up to $1000 in funds available for clothing, shoes, backpacks, etc. Items not regularly provided by the schools. 
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield Wellness Grants– Up to $1000 for items and/or programs that support the emotional, mental and/or physical health of students. This grant can also be used to purchase grocery gift cards for students with food insecurity.
  • Summer Reading Grants – Up to $500 for summer reading books for enjoyment (not assigned summer reading). 
  • Extracurricular Assistance – Up to $100 for field trip admission costs and fees associated with enrichment opportunities, clubs and athletic teams.
