Ipswich Educators Association agrees with the School Committee in that there must be something done to address the aging of our elementary buildings. In the fall of 2022 the IEA published a School Building Project Statement. The School Committee subsequently included the IEA statement in the district’s application to the School Building Authority. In addition, the IEA offered to partner with the School Committee and provide a member of the IEA as an appointed liaison during the building project. As the School Committee’s Elementary Building Project Working Group continues through this process, the IEA is paying close attention as the School Committee works to address the aging elementary buildings in Ipswich.
